About 6 months ago the members of my Quilt Guild asked me to be their speaker and give a workshop.

I agreed because I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to develop my speaking skills and a good chance to share my knowledge with other quilters. For my presentation, I decided to use a theme that I like so much - “Fabric Postcards”. I had some technical problems during my presentation, but I hope that the audience enjoyed my presentation. I talked about the history of postcards, how they became popular among craftswomen, what are the requirements for them and all about inspiration.

I also had a nice display of some of my quilts and cards.

On Saturday I had a workshop for our Quilt Guild members and I taught them how to make a card out of fabric. Halfway through the workshop I realized I almost forgot to take some photos, so here are some of my students’ work that day.

Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to finish the fabric cards, but I know some of my students had them ready. I’m so excited about this and look forward to teaching again.
